!of is came here for lunch. Luckily, there was a lull and we were able to get seated easily. I’m normally not a fan of udon but the curry nabeyaki udon was delicious. They have a lunch special where you can get discounted sides. One of my dining companions figured this out which was great since they weren’t hungry and the sides were perfect.

Best plain udon broth ever! A touch of old school home style udon broth is hard to find. And the temp is hot which is how they should be. Hate the lukewarm broths from many other well known places. Come and enjoy a bowl of clean tasting udon.Updated review: consistently delish udon broth and light dnd fluffy tempura... Ahhh so satisfying!!!

I have a special place in my heart for Suzu. We love being in Japantown, and have frequented Suzu a number of times over the years, before half marathon days or just when visiting for fun. It’s a small, cute place. They are usually able to seat pretty quickly depending on the day and time. Food comes out fast. Their options are reasonably (better) priced for the area. It may not be anything super crazy or high brow, but honestly I’ve always enjoyed our meals here. Daikon salad is a simple refreshing treat. I often get tempura soba, partner has gotten curry and bento boxes. Keep it up!
